I've just finished my third Wisconsin-woman-penned summer read: WHISTLING IN THE DARK by Lesley Kagen. Set in the summer of 1959 in Milwaukee, this funny and endearing tale of 10-year-old Sally O'Malley and her younger sister, Troo, evokes a time not so long ago, when life was not as innocent as it appeared. A great beach read!
